Illegal Immigration
The true number of illegal immigrants in Colorado is not fully known. In February 2024, over 40,000 illegal immigrants descended into our communities. Colorado Democrats have obfuscated this number and combined legal immigration with illegal immigration to hide the catastrophic numbers we've seen since 2020. Republicans respect and support legal immigrants but fully reject illegal immigrants in our communities.
Democratic policies have established laws, ordinances, regulations, resolutions, and practices that obstruct immigration enforcement and shield criminals from ICE. These measures include refusing or prohibiting agencies from complying with ICE detainers, imposing unreasonable conditions on detainer acceptance, denying ICE access to interview incarcerated migrants, and impeding communication or information exchanges between local personnel and federal immigration officers.

Some of these laws passed by Democrats include:
SB13-251 which provides drivers licenses to illegal immigrants.
HB19-1124 which prevents any law enforcement officer in Colorado from complying with federal immigration detainers.
HB21-1150 which created The Office of New Americans that provides services to illegal immigrants including 'unemployment' benefits.
HB21-1194 created the Immigration Defense Fund.
HB23-1100 which further shields illegal immigrants from detention and blocks coordination with federal law enforcement agencies.
SB24-182 further strengthened policies to allow illegal immigrants to be issued a Colorado drivers license.
These laws have created a protected class while leaving Americans susceptible to the full enforcement of federal and state laws. Democrats have established a system that shields illegal immigrants from accountability and placing us at great economic and safety risk.
The influx of illegal immigrants into Colorado has brought severe and long lasting problems. Democrats have misdirected our tax money away from our citizens to support illegal immigrants. Some headlines that reflect this catastrophe include:
